Volunteering to shoot videos for my church, Grace Pointe Plainfield, is a great way for me introduce a spiritual aspect into my work and feed the soul. I work once a month in the Kids’ Church as a multimedia tech who sets up, runs, and then tears down the AV system for their large group meeting. The first video features photos taken by Anna Ekdahl. The only instruction I was given was to keep it around 2 minutes. I used the theme song from the soccer camp and edited it on Sony Movie Studio at home.

The second piece was taken from a Willowcreek curriculum book and adapted to video by me. The original script had kids performing the lines in front of the group. I didn’t have a digital video camera at the time, so I made sure to be very close to the kids as they said their lines. This was also edited with Sony Movie Studio on my home computer.
